Hi Parents,

If you ordered a uniform during the registration process, I received them today and will bring them to practice on Friday evening.  If for some reason you cannot make it to practice or would like to pick it up ahead of time, let me know and we can arrange for it.

Strikers schedule this week and a few additional items
by posted 04/05/2021

Hi Folks,

I hope you all had a great holiday weekend!  A few things as soccer gets up an running this week:

  • Please make sure your child has the right size ball (size 4) and that is inflated.  With Covid restrictions, the girls are not allowed to share soccer balls.
  • Please make sure your child has soccer cleats.  Softball (they have a cleat on the toe) or metal clear are not permitted
  • At practice on Friday, I will be giving each child a pinny, which will be theirs for the season.  We cannot share, so they should plan on bringing it to each practice and each game (if both teams have the same color uniforms one will have to wear pinnies)
  • We have a number of kids on the team who want to play goalie, which is great.  We will rotate goalies throughout the season.  However, due to Covid, we cannot share equipment.  If your child wants to play goalie they should have their own goal gloves and a goal shirt that is a different color than their uniform (pinnies are fine)

This week's scheudle:

Monday (tonight):  Aztec Skills Training - LHS Field #2  - 5:30pm to 6:30pm

Friday:  Team practice - LMS Field  -  5:00 pm to 6:16 pm

Saturday:  Game -  10:30 am - @Hamilton Wenham (arrive 10:10)

Important:  If you have not already handed in your COVID form please fill it out and email/text it to me or Kelly or bring it to skills training tonight.

Strikers Covid Protocols, Release and a Request
by posted 03/29/2021

Hello Striker Parents,

As we prepare for the seaon, you can imagine that there will be a lot of focus on COVID protocols for practices and games.  We are looking for a COVID coordinator for our team, which will mainly include helping track those who attend games and practices, for contact tracing purposes.  If you are available and interested in helping, please reach out to me via email (jamiehayman@yahoo.com) or phone 973-214-8259!

For the season, there are a few things you need to be aware of:

Please have your player carry extra masks and hand sanitizer in their soccer bags. All must have their own water, there is no sharing.

Please review the LYSC Covid Guidelines and print, sign and return the parent and player portions to us on the first day of practice (Today or Friday) this week.  I need to have hard copies of the forms.

https://s3.amazonaws.com/files.leagueathletics.com/Images/Club/2439/LYSC%20COVID%20Spring%202021%20FINAL.pdf

Some important guidelines:

Players need to be 6 feet apart on the sidelines.

Only 2 spectators per player allowed at games

Spectators (not of the same family) must be 6 feet apart. - (if not, we are supposed to seperate people)

Players and spectators must be masked at all times.

Player and Spectator Attendance:

We need to record all players and spectators in attendance at all games/practices for contract tracing purposes.

Thank you everyone for your support in following these guidelines.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,

Jamie
